It depends on length, system, and site, but most residential projects land between $3,000 and $15,000, with aluminum at the affordable end and frameless glass at the premium end. Tell us your budget early and we'll design to it. Every quote is itemized from your actual design, and the price you approve is the price you pay.

Design and quoting usually take about a week. Fabrication runs two to four weeks depending on the system, and most residential installs are finished in one to two days.

It starts with a free consultation: send photos, plans, or just an idea. We measure on site, model your railing in 3D on your real plans, and give you itemized pricing. Nothing gets fabricated until you've seen exactly what you're getting and approved the exact cost.

Not for a long time. Our powder-coat finish is baked on, UV-stable, and far tougher than paint. It carries a finish warranty of up to 20 years* against peeling, cracking, and fading, so the colour you pick stays the colour you see. *The full 20-year term applies to inland jobs. Coastal and salt-air exposure carries a shorter term, as low as 10 years.

Aluminum gives you the same clean profile without the rust. Iron and steel need sanding and repainting every few years in our climate; powder-coated aluminum needs an occasional rinse. It's also lighter, which means less stress on your deck framing.

Not on a properly built system. We use swaged marine-grade fittings and tension each cable to spec, with post spacing designed to hold it. If a cable ever needs re-tensioning down the road, it's a simple, minutes-long adjustment.

Easier than most people expect. Rain does much of the work on exterior panels, and a squeegee with glass cleaner handles the rest a few times a year.

Yes. Every railing we design meets Washington State code from day one, guard heights, baluster spacing, glass and load requirements. Compliance is built into the design, not bolted on at inspection time.

Residential guards in Washington are typically 36 inches minimum, with 42 inches required in many multi-family and commercial settings. We design every run to the code that applies to your specific project, including the 4-inch sphere rule for infill spacing.

Yes, arguably the safest infill there is. There's nothing to climb, no gaps to squeeze through, and every panel is fully tempered safety glass engineered for guard loads. Where code or exposure calls for it, we laminate as well.

It's the fair question to ask about any horizontal infill. Code permits it in Washington residential settings, but if climbability worries you, vertical cable gives you the same open look with nothing to step on, we'll walk you through both in the consult.

Almost always, yes. We install on wood, composite, and concrete. During the free consultation we check that your framing or slab can take the guard loads, and if it needs blocking or reinforcement, we'll tell you before you spend a dollar.

It comes down to budget and how minimal you want the edge to look. Framed is the most economical; topless removes the top rail; frameless removes the posts. In the 3D design we can show you your own deck in each system before you decide.

All the time. We can work from construction documents, produce shop drawings, coordinate finishes with your schedule, and sequence installation around other trades. If you're specifying a project, get us in early, the details get better and cheaper.

The systems we install carry manufacturer warranties. Material and finish coverage vary by manufacturer. If the finish fades or a part has a defect, you call us and we handle the claim.
